Claire Hagan

Claire Hagan has loved dance since she began dancing at age 3. The majority of her ballet, pointe, tap, and jazz training has been with Ms. Natalie Kolosci and Ms. Lisa Mulligan at Civic Dance Center, as well as studying at Toni’s Dance Academy and the Indiana Ballet Theatre NW. Claire has enjoyed performing on stage in many of Civic Dance Center’s Summer Showcase and Nutcracker performances since 2006.

Claire graduated from Portage High School in 2016, where she dedicated many hours over her years there to the Thespian Club. She danced, acted, and sang in Legally Blonde, The Crucible, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Twain by the Tale, Godspell, and Into the Woods. She also was the stage manager for the play Bad Seed and was a choreographer for How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Godspell, and Legally Blonde. Claire also performed, singing and dancing,  in Valparaiso Opera House’s 2018 production of Legally Blonde the Musical.

In 2015, Claire was the winner of Portage High School’s “Distinguished Young Woman Scholarship Program”, which allowed her to represent Portage at the statewide competition. There she won the Overall Fitness Award and Preliminary Talent Award for her self-choreographed ballet piece.

Claire attended Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin her freshman year of college where she majored in elementary education and minored in dance.   Currently, she is attending Purdue University Northwest, where she has changed majors, pursuing a degree in Communications.

We are so fortunate to have Claire back close to home! She is a dedicated, knowledgeable, and a well-rounded young woman who is a positive roll model to our young dancers. She is excited and looking forward to teaching some of our youngest dancers this year!
