Instructor- Miss Megan

Megan Jahnke has been a student at Civic Dance Center since the age of 4 and has just recently started to teach. She has studied tap, ballet, pointe, jazz, partnering, lyrical, contemporary, and musical theatre. Megan attends Hobart High School and will graduate in 2021. She then plans to go to college where she will pursue a major in engineering and/or science.

Besides dancing at Civic Dance Center, Megan is also a part of the JROTC at Hobart High School. In this, she participates in the drill, color guard, marksmanship, and JLAB teams. She also spends a lot of her time volunteering at her school and church. From Friday night football games to vacation bible school, Megan loves helping out in her community.

As well as continuing to take classes with Ms. Natalie, Megan has started to teach various levels of students. From teaching the basics to the little ones to pushing the limits with older students, Megan is more than happy to help out where she can. She has started to share her love of dance and choreographing with other advanced students, introducing them to new choreography that they perform during their Summer and Winter showcase. She loves being able to create something in her mind and watch it come to life on stage. Megan hopes to inspire other dancers to push their creativity and try new styles and techniques that will help continue their journey in dance.
